Quick Trip to San Diego to visit Grandma

While waiting for Grandma's plane to arrive, we spent the afternoon in Balboa Park, enjoying the bell tower, water fountains and Halloween activities.

Grandma Gloria was in San Diego for a conference - so we took a quick trip to visit her. Carter LOVES riding up and down on the escalators and even let Grandma escort him :-)

Visit to Pretend City, A Children's Museum

One rainy day, Carter and Mommy took a trip to "Pretend City," where we had some real fun!

Carter's Visit to the Newport Beach Public Library

Carter and Mom recently took a little field trip to the Newport Beach Public Library. He did more running through the stacks and playing with puzzles than reading, but...I promised if he was good there would be a big payout in the end - SPINKLES CUPCAKES.

Let's just say he learned to use his inside voice and walking feet real fast :-)

The other day Carter got busted! He was warned the if he didn't shape up he was going to his room on the count of "1-2-..." before Dad got to 3, Carter took charge, by saying, "3-4-5..." We were so surprised we couldn't bear to send him to his room! Here's a little video of us practicing his 1-2-3s.

Carter got to play with Grandma and Grandpa and watch Aunt Lindy run in the Woodbridge Cross Country Invitational - 16th place in her race (18:53 on the 3mi. course), and she's just a freshman! Great job, Linny!
