Carter's "Birthday Circle" at School
Zach and I got to join Ms. Brooke's class to help celebrate Carter's birthday at school on the 6th...with the idea I might be at the hospital on his actual birthday, the 7th...and it's a good thing! Enjoy the photos of the festivities and our celebration at home that night.

Announcing the birth of Campbell Jackie
We are excited to announce that Campbell Jackie Smith arrived September 7, 2011 at 12:55 a.m. Although she was due August 29, and the induction was scheduled September 8, she decided to come all by herself...and arrive on Carter's 3rd birthday! Campbell was 6 pounds, 8 ounces and 18.5 inches long at birth. We are all home from the hospital and everyone is doing great.

Update on Sister
The due date has come and gone and we continue to patiently wait...so much for sister arriving early. She's officially 3 days late - and taking her sweet time! She must be choosing her outfit and doing her hair :-) We're planning to induce early next week if she hasn't made her grand entrance before then. We asked Carter if he would like a sister for a birthday gift. He said, "NO!" Honest boy.Tuesday, August 23, 2011
Mommy, Carter and Sister (39 Weeks!!!)
Carter will be 3 years old in 2 weeks (September 7th) and sister is due 1 week (August 29th). The doctor thinks she'll be early!!! Carter's top pick for a name is still "Cereal," but he announced the other day that he likes "Christmas Tree," too! I feel great - we're ready to go!
